The point is to hack a piece of generated code and prevent it from executing. That's the point. You can't stop it from being injected by the framework, so I prepend a return statement before it to prevent it from executing. And it's not about being smart to think about it or anything. It's about not having any other way to prevent this piece of javascript from being automatically generated by asp.net when it shouldn't. Thanks for reading my post It's been years since I wrote it :-)

Re: UseSubmitBehavior & GetPostBackEventReference

Donot think that sir u found this out. This is the usual way of programming that microsoft has already given. It is like programming in c#.

If u want to exit from a method , u use return keyword so that whatever written after that keyword inside the mehod will not be executed likewise if u use double slashes ("//") it means that u commented that line so that also it will not be executed . This is normal practice

Re: ECDIS software

cool

Re: ECDIS software

Cool

web development services

Re: Starting RSS Graffiti

Thanks for the detailed reply rousso.
I ask you, because I have a site that is based on a RSS feed of articles (I use Joomla feedgator component) and I think that your application is extra :), I'd like to do something,so for Joomla CMS.Your application i will include the facebbok page sure!

There are many Joomla components for RSS reader and you could do something for a commercial purpose, and of course something for free use with some omitted details that could be found in the commercial aplication.Think about that ;)

I suppose that some changes in htlm codes would be small if the component is made for Joomla CMS
Thanks
sorry for bad english language :)

There are many Joomla components for RSS reader and you could do something for a commercial purpose, and of course something for free use with some omitted details that could be found in the commercial application.Think about that ;)
I suppose that some changes in htlm codes would be small if the component is made for Joomla CMS .
Thanks
sorry for bad english language :)

Re: Starting RSS Graffiti

Hi!

The short answer is no!

Here is the long answer: My experience in Joomla is still slight so I don't have much idea on how much such a service is needed for Joomla and if there is an interesting market for such a service. So, without a clear business case, it would be hard for us to plan working on such a venture. We started RSS Graffiti as a Facebook Application because it was in Facebook that we were able to identify the need for it. Of course users always point you to new directions and our first example of unanticipated high demand was for Twitter integration (for whatever everyone means with that term). So RSS Graffiti, which was not initially designed to be successful among Twitter users that wanted to sync with their Facebook streams, is now more and more investing on keeping these users satisfied because life itself has showed us that this group of users has a need that is not satisfied by other existing applications. Likewise, Joomla can fall in the future under a set of user needs that are collectively interesting for RSS Graffiti and that can be addressed under our current strategic umbrella without changing the scope and goals of RSS Graffiti. But we have to be able to identify the need for it and the path to satisfying that need.

It would be interesting to know in which ways you imagine RSS Graffiti can become useful for a Joomla administrator.

Thanks for your interest in this work.
Greetings from Sweden!
Yannis

Re: Starting RSS Graffiti

Do you have plans to make RSS Graffiti version of the Joomla CMS???
Greetings from Serbia

Re: XML CV

test

Re: What I’m currently working on…

Short update for "current projects" category:

Since I started this line of posts there has been one important change: I currently work under a confidentiality agreement so I can't talk about the work I am doing.

Apart from that, there is other current work I am doing on personal projects that I also need to hold on to until they are released for competitive purposes.

So the "current projects" category is not reflecting my current work adequately (or even at all).

Nevertheless, I will keep the category for future use .

Re: ECDIS software

Hello Rousso,
How is your project progressing?

Re: ECDIS software

Dear Rousso,
I have also been allocated to a similar kind of project. But since i am new to this field, it may be beneficial to compare notes.
Things are pretty much at a nascent stage here. However your experiences will definitely help me.
Since you are using the sevenC's ecdis kernel, and we are likely to use the C-Map kernel, i would like to know what are the factors that prompted you to go in for 7C's. Maybe it will also help us in ordering the right kernel.
Regards \
renegade
